More tips to find your lost animal:Check in and around the house (closets, under beds, sheds, window wells, etc.)
Dawn and dusk offer a quiet time where lost animals will venture out more, take a flashlight and smelly treats
Do not chase! See if they will follow you. Lost animals go into flight mode and are less likely to come to you, even as their owner.
Notify your neighbors that your pet is missing (yes, even if you live in an apartment!) Ask them to check their cameras.
Place a blanket, bed, or worn clothing item outside of your home. You can also leave their food or litterbox.
If your pet is microchipped, contact the company to report them missing. Make sure your contact information is up-to-date. Don’t know the company? Ask the vet clinic or shelter/rescue that chipped them. To look up any microchip company, visit Pet Microchip Lookup
